Chelsea eye SHOCK January move for Arsenal star

Jakub Kiwior, a defender for Arsenal, is apparently a target for Chelsea in the January transfer window.

After Riccardo Calafiori joined Arsenal, it was anticipated that the Poland international would go, but the Gunners chose to turn down serious offers from Italy in order to retain Kiwior.

This summer, Kiwior was being courted by Bologna, Inter Milan, Fiorentina, AC Milan, and Napoli; a trade including Ademola Lookman of Atalanta was also being discussed.

The 24-year-old is still an Arsenal player, though, after he was unable to complete his summer transfer.

Kiwior is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side this season and he was even excluded from the club’s matchday squad to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day.

As a result, he continues to be linked with a departure and Chelsea are now eyeing a January move, according to TBR Football.

Jakub Kiwior to Chelsea?
Chelsea’s lavish spending under Todd Boehly shows no sign of slowing down and they are reportedly keen on signing Kiwior amid his uncertain role at Arsenal.

The Polish defender has mostly featured at left-back since arriving in the Premier League and Chelsea are seemingly keen to sign a reinforcement in that position, despite the summer acquisition of Renato Veiga.

Ben Chilwell is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in 2025, if he is unable to seal a move to Turkey within the next few days, and this could free up space for Kiwior.

The former Spezia star has made 38 appearances since joining Arsenal in January 2023, and he is also wanted by Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, as per TBR Football.

Although Arteta reportedly convinced Kiwior to stay at Arsenal this summer, the Poland international is arguably the Gunners’ fourth-choice left-back and an exit in 2025 seems to be on the cards.
