Enzo Maresca has given go-ahead for £58 million star to get January move

Following rumors that some Italian teams had previously expressed interest, it has once again been asserted that Enzo Maresca has approved Carney Chukwuemeka’s departure from CHELSEA during the January transfer window.

Since joining from Aston Villa, the midfield player has suffered numerous injuries. This season, he has only made one appearance for the Blues, a 14-minute cameo during their 5-0 victory against League Two team Barrow.

According to recent reports, Marcesa has approved a potential transfer move, and we are willing to allow the midfield player leave the team in the summer.

But there has mostly been interest in signing Chukwuemeka on loan, and Yahoo Sports understands that is also Milan’s preference as they look for low-cost options to bolster their midfield for this January.

Maresca recently said it was better for Carney Chukwuemeka to leave in the summer for first-team football: “I think Carney is a very good player,” Maresca speaking after his side’s 4-2 win against Brighton.

“But for the amount of players that we have, we decided at the beginning of the season that for him it was probably better to leave and go somewhere to prove himself playing 30-35 games than to be here and play less games.

“Then unfortunately it didn’t happen. He’s one of our players. He had some minutes the other day and today he was not involved. Hopefully, we can give him more minutes.”
