FINALLY! Chelsea get green light to bring £60 million attacker to Stamford Bridge in January
According to The Telegraph, Brighton reportedly made Evan Ferguson, a striker and longtime CHELSEA transfer target, available for loan in January.
Ferguson is considered one of the Premier League’s top young forwards, and there was a lot of transfer rumour during the summer transfer window that we might try to sign him.
Although there were rumors that the young man was being valued at £150 million, clubs ultimately decided to let him stay at Brighton rather than shell out absurd sums of money to sign him.
Things, though, have drastically changed for the player in the 2024-25 campaign as he is struggling for game time under new manager Fabian Hurzeler. Ferguson has appeared in nine matches across all competitions so far, however, he has started only in three games.
Frustrated with his role in the team, the player is reportedly seeking an exit route, with a number of Premier League clubs interested, according to Football Insider.
Now The Telegraph report that Brighton have made the decision to allow Ferguson to depart the club until the end of the season in order to get some first team minutes, and would like the star to stay in the Premier League
Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Georginio Rutter are all ahead of him in the German’s thinking.
