The reputable British media Sky Sports claim that Chelsea intend to tie down Eden Hazard with the new contract as soon as possible.

It is implied that the Blues are willing to go the distance to convince the Belgian to stay amidst the rumours of Real Madrid move.

Hazard’s current deal expires in the summer of 2020. Chelsea were holding talks with the striker during the last season, but they were put on hold.

Recently the 27-year-old admitted he still dreams of going to Real Madrid one day. He said: “Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today. It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club. We will see.”

According to reports in Spanish media Cadena Ser, Los Blancos intend to make an offer for the Belgian in January.

However, Hazard seems to be happy with staying at Chelsea. He praised new Blues coach Maurizio Sarri already multiple times this season. He also said that he wants to win a trophy before thinking about a move.
