“Finish in this position or get sacked” – Enzo Maresca told where he must finish in the Premier League next season or get sacked

The lowest position Enzo Maresca has to finish in the Premier League the next season

Two seasons ago, Chelsea’s Premier League finish was 12th, following Todd Boehly’s takeover of the team.

Last season, Chelsea came in sixth place, and the Blues had a strong finish to the campaign.

Next season, William Gallas, a former Blue, has informed new manager Enzo Maresca that placing in the top four is the goal.

Speaking to Gambling Zone, William Gallas said: “Enzo Maresca did a brilliant job at Leicester City and I know he was Pep Guardiola assistant, so Chelsea are clearly copying Arsenal’s model with Mikel Arteta.

“Maresca is clearly a long-term appointment, but he will not finish top of the Premier League with their current squad. Mauricio Pochettino finished sixth and he was sacked so the aim for Maresca has to be the top four.

“Maresca has to be given time but we know what Chelsea are like, you never know with them. Definitely, the challenge for Maresca is to get Chelsea to qualify for the Champions League, otherwise he will be a failure.”
