“For sure” “More signings” – Enzo Maresca gives verdict on signing 21-year-old Chelsea top target
As a potential replacement for Djordje Petrovic, Filip Jorgensen of Villarreal is reportedly being pursued by Chelsea.
Chelsea has placed a preliminary bid for the 21-year-old Danish goalkeeper that is estimated to be worth €20 million.
Additionally rumored to have expressed interest in a transfer to Chelsea to Villarreal is Filip Jorgensen.
Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Wrexham, Enzo Maresca was questioned regarding the Blues’ relationship with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.
The manager of Chelsea acknowledged that anything may occur during the transfer window.
He said: “We will see [regarding a new goalkeeper]. We have four goalkeepers. Petro has an injury. When the transfer window is open, anything can happen for us.”
Enzo Maresca also refused to comment on any player in particular as he said: “I don’t talk about players in other teams.”
When asked about Robert Sanchez he added: “Robert did very well tonight. For sure, the way we want to play, the goalkeeper is very important. I am very happy with Robert.”
