“Forget Moises Caicedo” “I want to replace Kante at Chelsea” – box-to-box midfielder vows to replace Kante at Chelsea

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has officially joined Chelsea from Leicester City.

The English midfielder and Chelsea agreed on a five-year deal that can be extended for an additional year (until 2030).

Dewsbury-Hall performed admirably in Enzo Maresca’s system and was Leicester City’s finest player the previous campaign. In 49 games, he scored 12 goals, good enough to win Leicester Players’ Player of the Year.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is determined to contribute his skills to the Chelsea squad.

“I’m a box-to-box midfielder,” Kiernan Dewsbuy-Hall said on the Chelsea official website, describing the attributes he’ll offer to the midfield.

“I am somebody who likes to attack, drive at defenders and make things happen with goals and assists. I will also give 100 per cent for the team defensively and I am someone who overall can contribute in every aspect of the game.

The 25-year-old midfielder also claims that he aspires to emulate N’Golo Kante who spent seven years at Chelsea, after signing from Leicester City.

Kante is seen as the greatest box-to-box midfielder of his generation, and Dewsbury-Hall wants to imitate his playing style.

He added: “I was at Leicester with Kante. I was a scholar when he was in the first team. Seeing him progress [to Chelsea] and do great things with the club just gave me extra motivation to do a similar sort of thing.”
