Frank Lampard has issue an injury update on Ross Barkley who had to be substituted in the first half of the Newcastle win.
The 25-year-old picked up a knock in the first minutes of the game but lasted until the 43rd minute.
Lampard has revealed the extent of the injury will be known on Sunday but at first sight, it caused some concerns.
“Ross turned his ankle,” Lampard told a press conference. “It looks a bit nasty at first glance, but the doctor wants to have a look at tomorrow. I have no more on that.”
So far, Barkley made 6 Premier League appearances for his club and is yet to register a goal or an assist.
His performances for England are much better: he took part in all 4 international games since the start of the season, scoring 2 goals and providing an assist.
