Chelsea boss Frank Lampard provided the latest update on Olivier Giroud’s future following Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Giroud has been linked with a move away from the club in January and didn’t feature against Nottingham Forest.
“There’s no update on Oli,” Lampard said shortly after a 2-0 win over Forest.
“I have spoken with him. If the conditions are it’s something Oli really wants to do, and it works for the club, and it works for me and the squad, then it’s something that could happen, but only when all three of those bases are covered.”
According to the latest report from The Sun, Aston Villa have identified Olivier Giroud as a January target.
They are looking for a replacement for Wesley Moraes, who is expected to be sidelined for 6-9 months.
The 23-year-old suffered serious damage to his posterior cruciate ligament.
