French club Monaco signed Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season with an option to buy.
Bakayoko moved to Chelsea from Monaco for £36 million back in the summer of 2017 but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League before leaving for AC Milan on loan last season.
The 25 year old Frenchman has admitted he really wanted to play for Chelsea this season.
“I didn’t immediately think it (Monaco) was the best option because I really wanted to play with Chelsea,” Tiemoue Bakayoko told L’Equipe.
“But I felt that it would not go as I wanted [at Chelsea] and Monaco appeared. It became an obvious choice.”
