“Get out of our club” “Stop putting everyone in danger” – John Terry tears Chelsea star apart of what he did to teammates in Arsenal loss
Former Chelsea defender John Terry has called out Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez following the 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League. He pointed at the Spaniard’s poor passing in the game, which put his teammates in trouble several times.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Terry said that there was a huge difference between Sanchez and his Arsenal counterpart, David Raya. He wants the Chelsea goalkeeper to keep calm and make simple passes in the game, without putting his teammates in trouble. He said:
“We have to talk about Rob Sanchez. He’s a very good goalkeeper and he made some saves today but we have to stop telling him that he’s the first offensive player. He’s bad with his feet and he scares everybody. I was jumping every time a Chels player was giving him the ball because he’s a danger. Liam Rosenior should tell him to stop being easy-going.
“[He’s] kind of like, ‘I know what I’m doing’. No, you don’t know what you’re doing. You are putting everybody in danger. It’s scary what you’re doing. I was very upset with that. You can see the difference between Raya and him. That’s maybe the difference between Arsenal and Chelsea.”
Sanchez finished the game with a 65% pass success, with five passes in his own half being misplaced. He also had just 33% success in long balls, while making three saves in the game.
