Gilmour reveals how is difficult for Kante to understands him
Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour has been with the first team for the past two years, and played an important role in the team last season.
Gilmour has a Scottish accent that makes it harder for him to be understood and he has revealed how Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante don’t seem to understand him.
Gilmour made an appearance on the UMM Youtube channel, and he revealed how difficult Kante finds it to understand him.
“That’s true, he [Kante] still doesn’t understand me! My accent has changed a little, but I don’t say London words like ‘fam’ and ‘jheeze’.
“He is a great player, trains so well, always works so hard. After training he just goes home and chills, you don’t hear anything about him.”
Gilmour also revealed how he got the nickname Billy Balboa.
“Mason Mount is a good laugh, always up for a joke,” Gilmour said on the UMM Youtube channel.
“You can see from his Instagram he’s always up to something. He does call me ‘Billy Balboa’ after doing boxing when I was injured – Mason was filming me when he should have been working!”
