Gonzalo Higuain has expressed his delight on Instagram at scoring his first Premier League goals in a Chelsea FC shirt in Saturday evening’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
The Argentina international was named in Maurizio Sarri’s starting line up for the third successive game despite an underwhelming performance on his Premier League debut mid-week.
Higuain failed to get on the score sheet in Chelsea FC’s 4-0 loss to Bournemouth in what was a dire performance from the Blues team to heap pressure on their under-fire manager Maurizio Sarri.
But the January signing bounced back in some style on Saturday after the former Real Madrid striker scored twice in a 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge.
Higuain’s two goals were his first in the Premier League to open his account after the South American forward completed a move to Chelsea FC on loan from Serie A champions Juventus last month.
The Chelsea FC number nine took to his Instagram page to post a series of photos from the 5-0 rout to celebrate his first Premier League win.
Higuain wrote on his social media page: “⚽️⚽️🥅⚪️🔵!!!👏👏👏
#comeonchelsea#3pointsimportant#veryhappy😃😃
Come on @chelseafc !! Three important points!! Very happy😃😃”
Chelsea FC supporters will be hoping that Higuain can fire the Blues to a big win against defending Premier League champions Manchester City in their next fixture at The Etihad on Sunday.
