According to Daily Telegraph, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is ready to relaunch his bid for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech in the summer.
The Blues reportedly made a move for the Moroccan winger during the January transfer window but Ajax were unwilling to let him leave during the season.
Lampard will have a £150 million budget in the summer and Ajax will demand £45 million for the 26 year old Ziyech.
The Blues are also interested in Borussia Dortmund Jadon Sancho but interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich could push up the price tag to a whopping £127m for the Borussia Dortmund and England star.
However, Lampard was frustrated not to be able to add the 26-year-old to the crew. The boss would ask the club’s chiefs to make another attempt to sign Ziyech in summer if the winger continues to impress.
Ziyech has been sensational for Ajax. Last term, the Moroccan has won a well-deserved Eredivisie Player of the Year award, led de Godenzonen to a domestic double and reached the Champions League semi-final with the team.
Since the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign, the 26-year-old scored 29 goals and provided 45 assists in 78 games across all competitions for Ajax, including 8 goals and 21 assists this season so far.
