Chelsea acquired the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Dutch club Ajax. The player will be joining the London club at the start of next season after completing his move.
The Blues wanted to land the player in January.
But the player insisted to stay at Ajax till the end of this season. But still, the London club has managed to tie Ziyech for a fee of around £33 million.
Following the announcement of his transfer, the player took social media to address a message for the Ajax fans. He made a post on Instagram and expressed his thoughts on his move. The player although stated his happiness for the Chelsea move, but also insisted that he has still some ‘unfinished business’ at the Dutch club.
The 26-year-old will be the first signing of manager Frank Lampard. The London club was slammed with a transfer ban, but it eventually was uplifted which allowed them to make a move for the player.
The player was nursing an injury and he wrote that he wants to create some more memories with the club.
“Received a lot of warm and positive messages during my absence and I hope to create just a few more beautiful memories than we already have. Very happy with my next step, but first I have some unfinished business to handle,” he said on his post.
The Moroccan joined Ajax from Twente in 2016 and has been a pivotal part of Erik Ten Hag’s squad. He helped the Amsterdam club to win the Eredivisie last season, also he was a part of that terrific Ajax squad that made to the Semi-Finals of the Champions League last term.
