“He cannot help Chelsea” “Poor player”- John Obi Mikel slams Enzo Maresca for signing £30m player this summer
John Obi Mikel has been one of the most outspoken critics of Chelsea’s present state of affairs.
The former midfield player has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Blues in recent weeks or months, saying he doesn’t think the current situation is good enough.
He has been a strong supporter of the team adding Victor Osimhen to bolster their attack. According to reports, the team is still determining whether they think they can close a deal for the striker.
All of the summer acquisitions that have already been made did not receive a start yesterday, though Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was taken off the bench in an attempt to make an impression in the closing moments.
Mikel has no idea why Chelsea signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Mikel has shared that he is not really so sure why the club brought the midfielder in this summer, with him not improving the side in his opinion.
He told beIN SPORTS: “If you look at the players signed when I was there, key players that were coming in. Players like Deco, Michael Ballack, Shevchenko, Fernando Torres, Florent Malouda. These are big, big players who came to help us improve the team.
“When I look at this team, Dewsbury-Hall. Again, I have nothing against this player, it’s not his fault, it was the club who brought him to the club, he cannot help Chelsea.”
