“He sacked Pochettino” “Don’t be a victim & learn to drop him” – Mikel Obi warns Enzo Maresca to drop Chelsea star who could sacked him
Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has urged Chelsea to replace Robert Sanchez ahead of West Ham clash.
Mikel Obi was reacting to the Blues’ recent Sanchez form who has made 5 errors that cost Chelsea to be out of top4.
According to him, both Sanchez and Jackson are “not good enough”.
For Haaland’s goal against City that brought the score to 2-1, Sanchez found himself caught in no man’s land.
“I’m scared Sanchez isn’t the right fit for Chelsea; Pochettino was fired due to his poor performance last season, and the same will definitely happen to Enzo Maresca if he doesn’t bench him and make him learn from it,” said on The Obi One podcast.
“A goalkeeper and a striker are what wins you the league and keeps you in the top four; Nicolas Jackson also needs to be replaced in the summer.”
“It’s evident that Chelsea will be active in the summer, but Enzo Maresca can still make a difference by dropping Sanchez and using another goalkeeper. A recall of the in-form Petrovic to Chelsea would be even better, as he would definitely save us”.
He also speaks on Nicolas Jackson:
“Should Nico fail to deliver, he ought to drop him and start Nkunku or Joao Felix instead, as they haven’t had enough minutes yet and I’m sure they’re eager for more playing time.” Enzo Maresca should consistently rotate those players and stop relying on Jackson, who squanders our opportunities.
“Nicolas Jackson job is to f***ing score the goals, that’s why you were brought to the football club. Put the ball in the back of the net and try to score. He didn’t do that needs to be bench .” Mikel added
