Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has revealed that Napoli star Victor Osimhen is eager to move to Stamford Bridge this summer. The former Blues midfielder suggested that if negotiations resume, securing Osimhen’s transfer could be a straightforward process.
Speaking about Chelsea’s search for a top-class striker, Mikel confirmed that discussions had taken place and hinted that reviving the deal wouldn’t be complicated.
“I know exactly where we stopped. If we have to pick it up again in the summer, it’s just pretty easy to get it done because the player really wants to come to the football club,” Mikel said.
The former Nigeria international also highlighted two key options Chelsea should consider to strengthen their attack.
“If you’re talking about a striker to come in and help Chelsea, you have to talk about Alexander Isak and you have to talk about Victor Osimhen. For me, these are the top two strikers,” he added.
Osimhen has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and with Chelsea expected to be active in the summer transfer window, his potential arrival could be a huge boost for Enzo Maresca’s squad.
