Here we go! Fabrizio Romano confirms first Chelsea summer signing
Estavao Willian is expected to sign with Chelsea, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
The first significant move of the summer transfer window for Chelsea has received the renowned “here we go” from the Italian transfer specialist. In 2025, Estevao Willian from Palmeiras will turn eighteen and sign with the Blues.
Chelsea and the Brazilian powerhouses have verbally agreed to an incredible €40 million upfront and possible add-ons of €25 million. This suggests that the west London club may be able to pay the young player more than his €55 million to €60 million release clause.
Romano reports that the final step that needs to be completed is for the Palmeiras president to officially sign all the necessary documents. The deal is firmly in line with Chelsea’s transfer policy under Todd Boehly of snapping up the world’s brightest young talents.
Chelsea to sign Brazilian wonderkid
After Kendry Paez, Andrey Santos and Angelo Gabriel, Estevao becomes the latest South American wonderkid to be signed by the Blues over the past year or so.
A 17-year-old attacker so highly rated in his native Brazil that he has been given the nickname ‘Messinho,’ Estevao starred for Palmeiras at the youth level and has this year firmly broken into the senior side.
Coach Abel Ferreira recently described Estevao as unlike any player he had ever coached, which is quite the compliment given that he is also overseeing the development of Real Madrid-bound striker Endrick.
Primarily a right-winger, Estevao has notched three goals and an assist in 17 first-team appearances for Palmeiras so far. The teenager made international headlines last November when he starred for Brazil at the U17 World Cup in Indonesia, scoring three times and assisting three times in just five games.
