“He’s a problem player for next season” – Noni Madueke says Chelsea player will be a problem ahead of next season
Winger for Chelsea Noni Madueke believes that Carney Chukwuemeka, another Chelsea player, will be a “problem” for rivals in the Premier League the next year.
Madueke, who arrived at Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, had a wild debut season.
Madueke improved toward the end of the season and started to start frequently. In the final nine games, he finished with two assists and three goals.
Chukwuemeka had an injury-plagued season, appearing in just 12 games across all competitions for the Blues.
Madeueke, though, has urged Chukwuemeka to have a stronger campaign the next year.
“Carney is the player I spend most time with, easily. I knew him through the England set-up,” he said in an interview with Chelsea’s official website.
“We are just very similar, we get on really well. We like the same things and have the same type of personality, so it just clicks.
“When he’s fully fit, he’s a problem for teams. So I can’t wait until next season for him to be fit from the start of the season and just show everyone what he can do.”
