“He’s a rugged, hard, & Intelligent player, sign him now” – Todd Bohely urged to sign 16 goals man
According to latest report, Todd Boehly has been urged by former Chelsea player Jason Cundy to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
However, Cundy, who spent four years at Chelsea during his playing days, believes Brentford talisman Ivan Toney has the potential to thrive at Stamford Bridge.
Toney has scored 16 goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season and earned a call-up to England’s squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine.
Speaking on Chelsea’s YouTube channel, Cundy said: “Do we need a centre-forward? Yes, we do.
“Ivan Toney has his issues off the field with what’s happening with the betting situation he’s been charged with. Let’s wait and see with all that.
“But for me, he’s a Chelsea centre-forward. The way he is, the way he looks, the way he plays. He’s a Chelsea player.
“We need a platform. We need a rugged, hard, clever, intelligent footballer up front. He ticks a lot of boxes. Plus, he knows the Premier League.”
