“He’s better than him” “Don’t waste money on signing him” – Theo Walcott tells Enzo Maresca that £42m player is better than incoming £70m attacker
Theo Walcott and Frank Lampard have been talking about some of the top wingers in the Premier League.
In the process of blindly ranking five of the top wide players in English football at the moment, the two English legends discovered an intriguing discovery concerning Cole Palmer, according to Walcott.
In fact, Walcott rated Palmer as the league’s third-best winger, which oddly placed Palmer just ahead of Michael Olise, a guy Chelsea is rumored to be particularly interested in.
Cole Palmer, according to Theo Walcott, is superior to Michael Olise Palmer, as mentioned by both Walcott and Lampard.
“Cole Palmer?” Lampard and Walcott were asked.
“Oh here we go, ‘Frank Lampard puts Cole Palmer third’. He’s number three,” Lampard said.
“Third, he has to be three, he’s better than Olise,” Walcott said.
Imagine Palmer and Olise in the same team
Palmer and Olise are undoubtedly two of the best young players in the Premier League.
Of course, Palmer is better than Olise. After all, he scored more than 20 league goals this season, but if these two were in the same team, they would be irresistible.
Chelsea are very keen to sign Olise this summer, and if they can unite the Frenchman with Palmer in the same side, they would be a joy to watch.
Of course, it wouldn’t be easy to fit both players into the same team, but with both men able to play as a number 10 and a right winger, it shouldn’t be too tough for Enzo Maresca to shoehorn these two into the same side.
Palmer and Olise have incredibly bright futures within the game, and if Chelsea do end up signing Olise, this could be the duo that defines Chelsea as a club heading into the 2020s.
For now, Palmer is the better player, but, in a better team, it wouldn’t be a shock if Olise could match his levels.
