“He’s clearly upset” – William Gallas finally reveals what will happen to Nicolas Jackson under new manager

Nicolas Jackson’s first season at Chelsea wasn’t all that great. In a single game, he had the ability to exude both heat and cold, much like his season did.

Jackson, who played for Chelsea last season and scored 17 goals in 44 games, had a reputation for blowing simple opportunities.

Nicolas Jackson was Mauricio Pochettino’s teammate for the entire season; would Enzo Maresca, the new manager, follow suit?

Speaking to Gambling Zone, William Gallas said: “Nicolas Jackson is clearly upset at Chelsea for Mauricio Pochettino leaving.

“Poch gave him the opportunity to have that confidence and he gave him a very good first season in the Premier League.

“The new manager will need time to get even more out of Jackson, but he had a very solid season, so I think he can improve again.

“He’s still young and the next step is to get to the 20 goal mark, which I think is possible next season for him.

“He’s still very raw and missed some huge chances, but I think he has all the tools to become a very good player in the future.”
