“He’s not happy” “Start using him now or lose him in January” – Didier Drogba says could lose Chelsea star in January despite 4-1 win over Panathinaikos

In their match against Panathinaikos, Chelsea was outstanding and won 4-1 with justification.

The fact that the team has a distinct identity regardless of who plays makes Enzo Maresca happy.

Christopher Nkunku may request to leave Chelsea in January, according to Chelsea veteran Didier Drogba, who doesn’t think he is “happy” there.

After an outstanding stint in Germany, where he scored 58 goals in his final two seasons at RB Leipzig, Nkunku was anticipated to perform well when he was signed for £52 million from Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

Despite scoring three goals in 14 appearances during his debut season with the club, Nkunku was largely sidelined by injuries last season.

Although the France international has only started one league game this season and is now behind Nicolas Jackson, he looks to be in excellent shape.

Nkunku has had come off from the bench more often in the Premier, and Didier Drogba doesn’t think he’d be happy with that role.

Speaking on TNT Sports, Didier Drogba said of Nkunku: “The injuries are obviously there, he knows he’s not quite at his sharpest yet.

“When I look at Chelsea’s forwards, I think Nkunku would be more clinical than Nicolas Jackson if he had the same time on the pitch and had his chances so far this season.

“Jackson is obviously improving and getting more confident, he has the manager’s faith and backing right now.

“Whether Nkunku is going to be happy… he might be one that will think he needs to leave come January if this is still happening.”
