“He’s one of the best” – Eden Hazard says striker Chelsea signed for £24m is the strongest player he’s ever seen
Throughout his career, Eden Hazard was surrounded by some very talented players.
Hazard worked with some very talented players while he was at Chelsea and Real Madrid, including Diego Costa and Sergio Ramos.
Using traits from his former teammates from his Chelsea and Real Madrid days, Hazard has been creating his ideal football player, he told 90Min on TikTok.
Among his intriguing decisions was the winger’s selection of Federico Valverde for his shooting.
However, when it came to physicality, Hazard made another interesting choice, picking his former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba ahead of the likes of Costa, Ramos and even Casemiro.
Eden Hazard says Didier Drogba was his strongest teammate
Hazard named Drogba as the strongest player he’s played with when building his dream player.
Drogba and Hazard spent a season together at Chelsea during the 2014/15 season which ultimately ended in a Premier League title win
Hazard made some interesting choices here. He picked Federico Valverde for his shooting, despite the fact he’s only ever scored 16 league goals for Real Madrid, while he picked Vincent Kompany for his pace, despite the fact the defender wasn’t necessarily known as a speedster.
Eden Hazard’s record alongside Didier Drogba
Drogba and Hazard only played together for one season at Chelsea, but what a season that was.
Chelsea won two trophies that year, and Hazard was electric during that season.
There’s a reason Ronaldinho recently praised Hazard.
The scary thing is, Drogba was past his best at that point, but his strength still left an impact on Hazard despite his advancing years.
The £24m striker wasn’t a regular that season, per se, but he did still play a lot with Hazard, and they had a remarkable record when playing together.
Unfortunately, these two players’ peaks didn’t overlap, but if a prime Hazard got to play with a prime Drogba, then this would surely have been one of the most dangerous partnerships in Premier League history.
Andy Cole also picked Drogba’s strength when he was building his perfect player recently, and the Ivorian has to go down as one of the most physically imposing players in the history of the league.
