According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea’s stance on Trevoh Chalobah’s long-term future has not changed after he became a regular starter in the final stages of the season.
The 25-year-old is still expected to be for sale in the summer, a year after their attempts to offload him resulted in a loan deal with Crystal Palace.
Chalobah was recalled in January after a serious injury to Wesley Fofana. Since then, he has beaten Tosin Adarabioyo for a place in the starting lineup.
However, the club still believes that their defensive line needs improvement, and selling Chalobah for ‘pure profit’ would help them significantly.
However, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has warned Enzo Maresca after reports claims Chelsea still want to sell him this summer.
