“He’s too proud of himself, yet he’s always poor” “Time to leave us in January” – Fans slams Chelsea star after another poor display in Fulham defeat
Christopher Nkunku has come under fire from Chelsea supporters after the team’s 2-1 Premier League loss to Fulham on Thursday, December 26. The Blues gave up two late goals, and Nkunku, who came on as a substitute in the second half, did little to improve their offense.
After a ball from Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer gave Chelsea the lead in the sixteenth minute. Harry Wilson gave Fulham the equalizer in the 82nd minute after Timothy Castagne’s stunning cross.
Rodrigo Muniz gave Fulham the lead in added time (90+5’) after being set up by Sasa Lukic. Muniz’s dying-minute goal secured all three points for his side as the game ended 2-1 in favor of Fulham.
In 17 minutes on the pitch, Nkunku had a passing accuracy of 60% (3/5). He registered one shot on target and lost possession of the ball three times (via Sofascore).
In the aftermath of the game, fans took to X to express their disappointment with the Frenchman’s performance, with one posting:
“This nkunku to jackson default sub every game is pissing me off,” another added.
“Sell Nkunku aswell man guy is officially a net negative on the pitch,” a fan opined.
“He’s too proud of himself, yet he’s always poor” “Time to leave us in January” Another fan said.
“Nkunku has done nothing since coming on.,” another vented.
“He looked at the last games and said yeh we need nkunku, absolutely joke,” another chimed in.
“Nkunku is the laziest player ever, PRESS!,” wrote another.
