“He’s too strong for me to handle” “That Changes everything” – PSG captain Marquinhos reveals why Chelsea thrashed them in Club World Cup final.

The Blues beat PSG 3-0 in the big game at the MetLife stadium, with the players congratulated by United States president Donald Trump at full-time.

Cole Palmer was at his brilliant best for Chelsea, particularly in the first half when he scored twice and assisted Joao Pedro to put them in an unassailable position at the break.

Robert Sanchez impressed French media as he kept out what was seen as the most devastating attack in world football at this moment in time.

Palmer praised Enzo Maresca’s gameplan after the game, and the Italian clearly got the better of his Champions League-winning counterpart. Luis Enrique seemed to ‘slap’ Pedro after the game as frustrations boiled over.

Marquinhos admits Chelsea were too physical for PSG in Club World Cup final

As PSG players couldn’t keep their temper intact after the game, eventually they had to admit that they were beaten by the better team, and this is exactly what their club captain did later on.

Marquinhos admitted to DAZN that Chelsea were in far better physical shape than their opponents, and that was the deciding factor in the final.

He said: “Tactically, they made things difficult for us “We were slow to react. These are things we’re going to work on for the future.

“All the teams will be looking at us from now on. It’s up to us to be at the top of our game. They won the physical battle. We were a bit below our best. They were very effective with their chances. That changes everything. We had chances but we didn’t manage to score.”

The Brazilian was part of a defence which were run ragged by the Chelsea players all game long, with the attacking performance being the biggest positive of the game for the Blues.

Marquinhos given nightmares by Joao Pedro

Despite joining Chelsea less than two weeks ago, Pedro has proven to be an extremely beneficial signing already for the Blues.

He has three goals in his first two starts for the club, and worked brilliantly with Palmer in attack, giving Chelsea fans an exciting glimpse into the future at Stamford Bridge.

Andros Townsend was in awe of Pedro’s performance, and he has made himself a shoo-in to start the first Premier League game of the campaign against Crystal Palace.

It remains to be seen if Liam Delap works his way back into the side. The Englishman impressed in his cameo off the bench in the second half.
