“His football style is running his Football career at Chelsea ” “He might leave Chelsea if we lose Champions League Football” – Mikel Obi warns Enzo Maresca will lose £130k-a-week Chelsea star if club fails to make top4
Ahead of Chelsea’s remaining fixture to the final games Enzo Maresca has been warned to bring back Cole Palmer to his normal position and let the star player regain his form before the end of the season after struggling to get back to his form so far this season.
The young forward has been instrumental in the Blues’ attack, delivering an impressive 39 goals and 21 assists in 78 appearances. Palmer’s impact was further highlighted in the 2024 European Championship final, where he came off the bench to score a remarkable equaliser in England’s eventual 2-1 loss to Spain. However, his meteoric rise has sparked debate among football experts, with some suggesting that Palmer may have already outgrown Chelsea and should consider a move to a more ambitious club.
However, Chelsea legend Mikel Obi has called for Enzo Maresca to be more careful not to lose Cole Palmer has he wants to play a Champions League Football.
John Mikel Obi said ahead of Chelsea remaining fixtures:
“Enzo Maresca should be more careful and bring back the best out of Cole Palmer he’s a great player that has the potential to compete well in top competition and Chelsea is the club that needs to be back to the Champions League Football”
“Am scared we might lose if we don’t make Champions League Football this season”
“Enzo Maresca needs to insert that winning mentality to this players, however Cole Palmer is a competitive player that needs to be guided very well and continue to make impact for the club since he dropped form it has affected us in so much ways”
“Don’t play him out of position, I guess he needs to play more of his role to get back to his form, truth be told we gonna lose Cole Palmer if care is not taken”
“Lastly, If Enzo Maresca can’t handle this team well don’t pull us back ..we need a coach that will bring our team back to where it belongs to” He added
