RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is a key target for Chelsea this summer as Frank Lampard seeks to strengthen his squad.
The 23 year old striker, who scored the only goal as RB Leipzig beat Tottenham 1-0 on Wednesday night, has a release clause in his contract.
According to James Pearce of The Athletic, the release clause of Werner is £50 million, which is a bargain in today’s hyper-inflated transfer market.
“It’s quite well known that he’s got a release clause around £50million,” Pearce said, as quoted by Daily Express.
Fans are hoping the German international choose Chelsea amid interest from Liverpool after watching him impress against Tottenham.
