Hudson-Odoi England’s exit claim, as World Cup winner drops transfer hint after agreeing shock Chelsea deal
Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi has refused to shut the door on a possible international future with Ghana despite making three appearances for England.
Hudson-Odoi was born in England but is eligible to play for Ghana as he was born to Ghanaian parents.
“I think obviously when you’re young, you have the opportunity to play for England throughout all the years, from under 15 to under 16 all the way up,” the 20-year-old, who is currently on holiday in Ghana, said at an event when asked about his international future, Joy Sports has reported.
“When they obviously gave me the opportunity to come I was in the country already. It’s something that I already had in my mind, set on already playing for England.”
“So it was the thing obviously choosing Ghana or England, and at the end of the day I said I always had the right people around me who always advise me – what’s right, what’s wrong. England came and I said ‘Yeah, let me go and play for my country.
“But I said Ghana is my home as well, so we’ll see, we’ll see. You’ll never know, so,” he said whilst giggling.
World Cup winner drops transfer hint after agreeing shock Chelsea deal
Olivier Giroud has admitted that he could still leave Chelsea this summer, despite signing a new contract with the club.
The France international, who finished as the Blues’ top scorer in Europe, was linked with a move to AC Milan after accepting a bit-part role behind Timo Werner and Kai Havertz under Thomas Tuchel.
There was not a fan out there that did not believe he would stay at the club, and all indications suggested that he was ready to leave Stamford Bridge and seeks a fresh challenge in the Italian League.
Yet the former Arsenal striker has committed his immediate future to the club, having signed a one-year contract extension, which has shocked many in the media that firmly believed that he would be leaving the club in the very near future.
But in another transfer twist, the French world cup winning striker has hinted that he could still leave the Bridge during the summer transfer window, despite signing that recent deal with the club.
He told the RTL YouTube channel: “Ibrahimovic wants me at AC Milan? It’s always a pleasure to hear Zlatan say this kind of things, I’ll take it as an extra motivation.
“My future? I don’t want to talk about it, Milan is certainly an option among other ones.”
With all the news that we are seeking a new striker, it would not be a massive shock to see the Frenchman leave the club over the next few months. And giving him that contract would mean that they could get a few million for the hitman.
