Callum Hudson-Odoi will head overseas to try to expedite his recovery process and be fit again for the start of the next season, at least the opening weeks.
He ruptured his Achilles tendon and April. Warmer climes would be favourable to his leg recovering.
Two more injured players are Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Just like Hudson-Odoi, the German underwent surgery in April and is now recovering. His hope would be to train already during pre-season.
It’s worse for Loftus-Cheek who got injured in the USA during a friendly fixture against New England Revolution.
He’s facing roughly six months out with a complete rupture of his Achilles tendon. He’ll reportedly remain in the UK for the initial stages of his recovery.
The Europa League final will be Chelsea’s last game this season. First pre-season fixtures are pencilled in for July.
The Premier League starts on 10 August with the fixture list to be announced later.
