Huge injury blow: 6 Chelsea players misses training ahead of Bournemouth clash

Chelsea will travel to Bournemouth on Saturday night in preparation for their season’s fourth match after the international break.

The Blue will take on a Bournemouth team that has shown promise thus far, being undefeated in their first three games after two draws and a recent 3-2 victory over Everton.

In addition, two of Chelsea’s first team stars are reportedly resting as a result of travel, while four players have skipped training today owing to injuries.

Naturally, Romeo Lavia, Recce James, Filip Jorgensen, and Malo Gusto will not be available for Chelsea’s Premier League match against Bournemouth this weekend.

Malo Gusto, who has started all of the league games this season, is anticipated to miss the trip to the south coast due to a thigh issue.

The French right back limped off in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace before the international break and consequently withdrew from France’s Under-21 squad a few days later.

Furthermore, it’s still unknown how serious Jorgensen’s injury was when he was substituted out of Tuesday night’s Denmark Under-21 victory over the Czech Republic.

Despite appearing to have been “on the grass,” Recce James has not played in a competitive game this season due to an injury he sustained near the conclusion of the preseason. It will take him some time to recover to full fitness.

Malo Gusto, his backup, is also hurt, which is a bigger problem. Footyvalid has been informed by sources that he won’t be ready for Saturday, thus a formation tweak or another right back alternative may be necessary.

Romeo Lavia is reportedly practicing as well, but he won’t be returning for this game either, according to Enzo Maresca, who mentioned that the Belgian had a “small problem with his hamstring” prior to the Wolves match. This is terrible news, as it has been three weeks since the issue first appeared.

Given that he missed the all of the previous season, it will be about a month until he returns if he does so next week.

Ultimately, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez did not practice with the team today; the South American pair are anticipated to make their way back to England today after serving their nation over the meantime.
