“I don’t need them” “Let them go” – Enzo Maresca tells Chelsea to sell these SEVEN first-team stars

According to reports, Chelsea is looking to reduce Enzo Maresca’s squad in preparation for the upcoming season by looking to sell seven first-team players.

This summer, the club has already paid a total of €28.4 million for the signings of Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, and Marc Guiu; their arrivals may lead to further exits.

Chelsea permitted veteran players Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and Kepa Arrizabalaga to go on loan from the team during the previous campaign. That won’t happen again, though.

The Athletic, who disclosed that the only players who will be loaned out for the 2024–25 season are academy players and those under the age of 21, claims that. One such youngster is Alfie Gilchrist, a 20-year-old who has the interest of Como and Preston North End for a loan signing.

In addition, Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Armando Broja, Cesare Casadei, David Datro Fofana, Malang Sarr, Trevoh Chalobah, Lukaku and Kepa on permanent deals.

Conor Gallagher may also leave the club, but a contract renewal hasn’t been ruled out.

Carney Chukwuemeka update

Carney Chukwuemeka, who joined Chelsea for €18m in 2022, has been linked with a summer exit amid reported interest from AC Milan. However, the Englishman is unlikely to leave Stamford Bridge.

As per The Athletic, Chelsea rate the 20-year-old extremely highly and have dismissed reports that he could be available on a loan with an option to buy deal.

The former Aston Villa academy star made just 12 appearances last season due to injury, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s imminent arrival had prompted speculation that Chukwuemeka could depart this summer.

But, the youngster is reportedly unlikely to leave Chelsea, with the Blues eager to retain his services.

Dewsbury-Hall’s move, on the other hand, is expected to be announced shortly. A full agreement has been reached with Leicester City and the Englishman has completed his medical.
