“I don’t think I need anymore” “Leave us in January” – Enzo Maresca tells £50m Chelsea player could leave in January

Given Chelsea’s size and strength, it is inevitable that certain players may find it difficult to break into the group.

Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku are not starting for Chelsea in the Premier League.

Another Chelsea player that head coach Enzo Maresca rotates and uses in cup events is Benoit Badiashile.

Juventus want to sign Ben Chilwell from Chelsea

None of them, though, is facing as bad a situation as Ben Chilwell. The £50 million defender has played just 45 minutes all season. His only appearance came as a substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup.

Chilwell was expected to leave Chelsea last summer, but no move materialised. And it seems that the England international will get an escape route in the January transfer window as well.

According to TuttoJuve, Juventus are keen on a deal for Chilwell in the middle of the season. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that the 27-year-old left-back could leave on loan.

Juventus are aiming to win the Scudetto this season. The Bianconeri are only two points behind leaders Napoli in sixth place in the Serie A table at the moment.

Ben Chilwell has other options
Chilwell is a very experienced left-back who has made 169 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has made 12 goals, given 18 assists, and kept 39 clean sheets in those games.

Maresca may not fancy Chilwell, but given his experience and quality, the former Leicester City star has a lot of options other than Juventus.

Crystal Palace and Fulham are keen on a deal for Chilwell, who joined Chelsea in 2020 and won the UEFA Champions League in 2021.

Manchester United have also been linked with Chilwell, although that was when Erik ten Hag was the first-team manager.
