“I enjoy myself watching him” “Man is too good” – Peter Crouch hails Chelsea star performance in 4-2 win over Gent

Peter Crouch, a former Liverpool and Burnley striker, has singled out one Chelsea player for special appreciation following Thursday night’s European success over Gent.

Chelsea are off to a good start in the Conference League group stages after defeating Gent 4-2 today at home.

Enzo Maresca showcased the Blues’ depth by making 11 changes to the starting lineup.

Despite the changes, Chelsea produced another impressive result, making it five consecutive wins in all competitions.

The hosts’ goals at Stamford Bridge came from Renato Veiga, Pedro Neto, Christopher Nkunku, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

However, Peter Crouch claimed that he was impressed with Chelsea’s new addition Renato Veiga’s individual performance against Belgian club Gent.

The 21-year-old left defender had another authoritative display, both on and off the ball. In instance, he scored his first goal for the club with a spectacular header in the 12th minute.

“I haven’t seen a great deal of him (Veiga), but Joe Cole was telling me what a good player he was. I saw it tonight,” Crouch said on TNT Sports

“I thought he was fantastic, another fantastic player to have in the squad. A player who looked like he was enjoying himself and playing with a smile on his face.
