“I give them the credit” – Enzo Maresca hails three Chelsea players after 5-0 win over Barrow
Chelsea demonstrated their superiority over League Two side Barrow, defeating them 5-0 in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Enzo Maresca was delighted with the play of Chelsea’s front three, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, and Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku scored a hat-trick in this game, Pedro Neto scored his first Chelsea goal, and Joao Felix made a fantastic free kick that bounced off the post, hit the goalkeeper, and went into the net.
Enzo Maresca was happy with the front three, who were all on the bench against West Ham, and stated they have the potential to start for Chelsea.
“I’m happy. Happy for Pedro [Neto], happy for Christo [Nkunku] and for Joao [Felix], for all of them,” Enzo Maresca said.
“They all deserve to play from the start in the Premier League but they are not playing in this moment. But the way they take the chances when we give them minutes is fantastic.
“No matter if it’s five minutes, 45 minutes or 90 minutes, they are all ready and this is the most important thing.”
