“I hope one day I get Chelsea back soon” – Romano Abramovich hints on possible Chelsea return
Since the Chelsea takeover, The Blues are yet to win a major trophies as the Blues continue to struggle since Todd Bohely Era begins.
Roman Abramovich sold Chelsea two years ago, and Todd Boehly became CEO. There have been suggestions, according to trustworthy sources, that Chelsea will return to its prior owner because there are still decisions to be made.
Dmitry Bulykin, a former striker for Russia, feels that Roman Abramovich needs to return to Chelsea.
He asserts that unless they allow his countryman to repurchase the team, the Blues will not be able to win another championship.
The failure of the UK government to decide how to spend the £2.5 billion that Roman Abramovich, the former owner of Chelsea, received from the sale of the London football club, has drawn criticism from peers.
Almost two years after the sale was negotiated, members of the House of Lords’ European Affairs Committee deemed it “incomprehensible” that officials had not spent the money on Ukraine.
Despite being sanctioned as one of seven Russian “pro-Kremlin” oligarchs, the government decided to let Abramovich sell Chelsea in 2022 as long as the proceeds went towards aiding the victims of the conflict in Ukraine.
But because of a disagreement between Abramovich and the government over how the funds should be used, they are still locked in a UK bank account.
According to Bulykin, who told Odds.ru, which Russian might be sent to Chelsea to put things right? The person I would choose is the owner.
“If Abramovich can be brought back, Chelsea will win one of the major trophies.” Unfortunately, things cannot return to how they were, but that could change in the future if Roman Abramovich decides to fight back to win Chelsea back and the team is not progressing”
However, Roman Abramovich hints on possible Chelsea return:
“I keep following Chelsea since the handover of Chelsea really not happy with the current form..
“I hope that I will be able to visit Stamford Bridge one last time to say goodbye to all of you. It’s been a privilege of a lifetime to be part of Chelsea and I’m proud of all our joint achievements. Chelsea and it’s supporters will always be in my heart” 🥹
