“I still love Pochettino” – Chelsea star opens up to SHOCK exit after just one year

Nicolas Jackson, a forward for Chelsea, is reportedly thinking about leaving the team in the summer after just one season.

The 22-year-old paid €37 million to transfer to Stamford Bridge last year, but with Mauricio Pochettino’s departure, he is already uneasy and willing to leave.

As a result of Chelsea’s decision to break ways with Pochettino, Jackson is reportedly dissatisfied and is now thinking about his future in west London, according to TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook.

Jackson is apparently being pursued by Atletico Madrid, but Diego Simeone’s team is also interested in Girona’s Artem Dovbyk following his excellent 2023–24 season.

Jackson finished the previous season with 17 goals and 6 assists across all competitions, although he received a lot of flak for a number of high-profile misses, most notably against Manchester City in Chelsea’s 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat.

Enzo Maresca’s side have been heavily linked with signing a new centre-forward this summer, although their pursuit of a striker has taken a backseat amid their interest in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.

Jhon Duran is seemingly Chelsea’s top striker target as things stand, although the Blues are unsure whether or not to sign the Aston Villa man.

Interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has died down, with Chelsea unlikely to sign the Nigeria international this summer.

Nicolas Jackson to leave Chelsea?
After Pochettino’s departure was confirmed, Jackson expressed his dissatisfaction on social media. “Love you coach,” he wrote on Instagram. “Wish we could stay together more [face palm emoji]. But may God continue to bless you and your family.

“Thanks for the advice and support, you’re a true lion and fighter. I wish you all the best [red heart emoji].”

Although Jackson has been linked with a Chelsea exit, he is likely to still be at the club next season. The Senegalese forward has spent less than 12 months at Stamford Bridge and showed glimpses of his talent during an encouraging debut campaign.
