Chelsea is apparently close to acquiring Real Madrid’s Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, according to Alberto Pereiro of Onda Cero.
Real Madrid is willing to let Lunin go despite his excellent play in the previous season because the Ukrainian doesn’t want to remain as the backup goalie.
Andriy Lunin was top-class for Real Madrid last season, and played a key role as Real Madrid went on to win the La Liga and Champions League.
Real Madrid will continue to rely on Thibaut Courtois and potentially sign Kepa Arrizabalaga if Lunin departs, the report claims.
