“I want leave” – Another Chelsea star wants to leave club as he hands transfer request

According to sources, Chelsea defender Renato Veiga, who came from FC Basel in the summer, has apparently reached a verbal deal with Borussia Dortmund.

The German outfit are keen on securing Veiga on a loan deal that includes an option to buy at the conclusion of the season.

The Portuguese defender reportedly submitted a transfer request to leave the London club this January, despite Chelsea’s continued reluctance to make a January deal.

Veiga is open to the possibility of leaving Chelsea and is eager to get more playing time during the second half of the season.

Despite playing the entire 90 minutes against Morecambe in the FA Cup on Saturday, Enzo Maresca has had trouble securing playing time at Stamford Bridge.

If the 21-year-old Portugal international leaves, the Blues would prefer a permanent sell, but they could be satisfied if they were required to buy at the conclusion of the season.

Chelsea has already rejected a loan offer from Wolves this month and has not supported the German team’s approach.

Although Maresca has denied the club is forcing Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Axel Disasi out of the team despite interest, Chelsea is only interested in selling Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Cesare Casadei this January.
