“I want to be at Chelsea” – £40M rated player send transfer message to Enzo Maresca after latest decision

Trevoh Chalobah is allegedly being driven out of Chelsea this summer, despite his desire to stay with the team.

Despite missing the first six months of the season due to a hamstring injury, Chalobah made 13 Premier League matches the previous season in an attempt to join the Enzo Maresca era.

But, there has been a lot of transfer rumors in the media, particularly when he was excluded from the preseason tour of America, suggesting that the club is looking to let go of him during this transfer window.

The defender is said to be stunned by the decision but Maresca claims thatstrong competition for a place in Chelsea’s defence following the arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham, plus the return of Wesley Fofana, who missed all of last season as he recovered from ACL surgery, are the reason behind the decision to omit Chalobah from his pre-season squad.

Now Sunsports Jack Rosser has claimed that Trevoh Chalobah does not want to leave Chelsea this summer window – he said: ‘Trevoh Chalobah feels he is being forced out of CHELSEA after being left out of their American tour.

‘Chelsea are keen to sell the academy graduate this summer and made his standing in the squad very clear by leaving the defender out of their travelling party.

‘Having joined the club at the age of nine, Chalobah’s sale would give Chelsea more financial flexibility than any other defender as the fee could be put on the books as pure profit.

‘Chalobah is happy at Chelsea and has four years left on his deal but has plenty of admirers in the Premier League and is keen not to rush a decision on a new club should he leave’

Enzo Maresca admits CHELSEA have made a ‘sad decision’ by axing Trevoh Chalobah from their pre-season tour of the United States.

Asked about Chalobah’s situation in his first pre-season press conference in Santa Clara on Tuesday evening, Maresca said: ‘First of all, from my point of view, it’s always sad to leave players out, that can be out of a pre-season, or can be out of the squad or out of the first eleven because in the end they all work for the same target, that is to be part of the same team

‘The Trevoh situation for me is quite clear, we have Axel [Disasi] there, we have Tosin [Adarabioyo] there, we have Wes [Fofana] who in these two weeks has worked very good and is finally back, we have some very young profiles like Josh Acheampong who is doing fantastic.

‘It’s a sad decision but we have to take the decision.’
