“I want to play Champions league football” “Let me go” – Chelsea stars opens up leaving Chelsea after transfer approach from European giant

Levi Colwill, a defender for Chelsea, may consider joining Bayern Munich if they show further interest in him following their initial approach to make an inquiry during the summer transfer window.

Florian Plettenberg, a journalist for Sky Germany, claims as much, writing on X about Colwill’s circumstances. Colwill is reportedly under Bayern’s radar, but he may appear to be an ambitious target.

Plettenberg provides specifics below, stating that although Bayern has information about Colwill, the Blues are not yet willing to allow the gifted 21-year-old go, even though he would theoretically be open to moving from Stamford Bridge to the Allianz Arena.

This is perhaps not ideal from a Chelsea point of view, with Colwill clearly not 100% committed to the club if this proves to be accurate.

The England international is a superb talent who surely has a big future in the game, so Chelsea will no doubt be eager to keep him in west London for the next few years, which should be the peak of his career.

Colwill transfer: Should Bayern go elsewhere or can they sign him?

This narrative looks like a bit of a non-starter right now, but Plettenberg appears to think it’s still early in the summer window, so it could be something to keep an eye on in the future.

Although Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen may be a more practical alternative, the writer also notes that Bayern is also interested in the center back. Therefore, it appears that the deal is not yet finalized.

Tah just had an incredible season with Leverkusen, winning the Bundesliga title ahead of Bayern, so if the club can raid their rivals, that might be a wise move.

Colwill, however, is younger so could be the more long-term option, and perhaps better value for money overall, even if he is likely to be more expensive given Chelsea’s current stance.
