‘I warned him Chelsea is not for him’ – Radja Nainggolan reveals after latest player decision
According to latest reports, former Chelsea target Radja Nainggolan has revealed he warned his countryman Romelu Lukaku against a move to Chelsea.
However, Lukaku was the main man at Inter Milan and Chelsea paid a club record £97.5m for his signing.
After an initial run of form, the Belgian has been struggling in a Chelsea shirt, and is no longer a regular in the starting line-up.
Nainggolan who rejected a move to Chelsea some years ago, has revealed how he tried talk Lukaku out of a move to Chelsea.
Radja Nainggolan said according to RTBF: “I told him that he made the wrong choice in leaving Inter.”
“He was the king there. He was perhaps the best striker in the world. But he couldn’t say no to the club of his heart.
“This is the third time he’s gone to Chelsea; this is the third time it didn’t work out.
“He says the team was built around him, but the system wasn’t working. So the coach opted for other players, smaller in size, who run a lot. And the results followed.”
