Mykhailo Mudryk should have started against Manchester City, but Enzo Maresca, the new Chelsea manager, made the tough decision to sideline him. Maresca has a sizable roster at his disposal.
Enzo Maresca said: “It has been difficult, Misha was one of those who deserved to start and same with some different players but sometimes you have to take decisions.”
Mykhailo Mudryk sat all game on the bench, while Raheem Sterling didn’t even make the squad.
With Joao Felix also set to sign for Chelsea, competition for places is expected to be intense.
