(Images): Chelsea star Cole Palmer sends clear message to support Nigerian protesters
Chelsea star Cole Palmer has shown support for Nigerians amid the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest in the country.
The movement is a reflection of the voice and will of the Nigerian people, particularly the youth, who are suffering greatly as a result of President Bola Tinubu’s policies.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was one of the states that took part in the demonstration.
But in some states, like Kano, Borno, and Yobe, property destruction and vandalism occurred to the point where the governors of those states imposed curfews.
Reacting to the development, Palmer, in a tweet on his X account, wrote, “In support of our Nigerian brothers and sisters. #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.”
The 22-year-old Englishman was instrumental in his team reaching the finals of the 2024 Euro tournament.
The Chelsea star scored a goal in the final, but it was not enough to stop Spain from becoming champions.
