Impressive Coach On way To Replace Poch – Chelsea OFFICIALLY Announce Defender Deal – Blues told they can sign target for €100m+
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that Chelsea are monitoring one manager ahead of the end of the season.
Recent reports circulating within the football fraternity have stirred controversy, suggesting that a faction of Chelsea players has purportedly petitioned the club’s board to terminate the tenure of manager Mauricio Pochettino. Such claims, if validated, could potentially disrupt the stability and harmony within the club, raising questions about the underlying reasons behind such a drastic demand.
But when it comes to potential replacements, Ruben Amorim has frequently been mentioned as a potential candidate to take the role.
He is currently enjoying a very successful season yet again at Sporting Lisbon, and this has seen him come in for plenty of praise in his relatively short career in the game.
Plettenberg has stated that CHELSEA are keeping tabs on him, ahead of what looks as if it will be a huge summer when it comes to managers at the top moving on.
He said: “Rúben Amorim, he’s definitely a candidate for FC Liverpool in summer! At FC Barcelona, he is also highly regarded. Chelsea is monitoring him, should things not progress further with Pochettino in summer.
“Amorim favours a 3421 system with two attacking midfielders who move freely between the lines. Pedro Goncalves and Edwards, are essential for Amorim.
“Similar to Leverkusen and Inter Milan, there are often five players in the forward line as passing options, providing tremendous width in the attacking play (3-2-5). Been told his release clause is said to be €10m in summer.”
GYOKERES PRICE SET –
Sporting won’t sell Victor Gyokeres for less than €100m in the summer window – the likes of Chelsea have been informed.
Gyokeres has scored 36 goals in 40 games for Sporting and is one of the form attacking players in European football this term, with many reports in the medcia suggesting that he could be sold in the coming transfer window.
Europe’s elite are queueing up to prise the Sweden international away from Lisbon after his stunning start to life with Sporting, and CHELSEA are one of the clubs that are desperate to delve into that transfer kitty and add a 30 goals a season forward to that attack
Portuguese football expert Pedro Sepúlveda on Sky Sports News:
“Both Arsenal and Chelsea are going to look for a striker in the summer. Viktor Gyokeres is the best player in the Portuguese league.
“He has 36 goals in 40 games and 13 assists. These numbers are incredible all around Europe, I’m sure every team would want a 25-year-old striker with these numbers.
“Sporting won’t sell him for less than €100m. I cannot guarantee it will be an English club but I’m sure one club from Europe will pay €100m.”
