“Inside dressing room” – Petrovic finally reveals what happened between Pochettino and Chelsea board
When Chelsea revealed at the end of the season that Mauricio Pochettino would be leaving the team, it was an unexpected move.
Chelsea had won five games in a row heading into the end of the season, and it was anticipated that Pochettino would carry on at that level the following year.
But the Chelsea board made the decision to fire Pochettino, and they will now name a new manager.
In response to the news, Chelsea goalie Djordje Petrovic stated that the team and Pochettino made the decision to end the game.
Petrovic also hailed Pochettino for giving him a chance during the season. Petrovic went from being on the fringes to becoming Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper.
The Serbian told Nogomania: “He and the club decided not to continue together, we have to respect that decision.
“Pochettino is a coach who gave me a chance and trusted me. I will be forever grateful to him and the entire coaching staff.
“We worked well together and I wish them all the best in their future careers.”
