Italian boss makes it clear he wants £84m star gone – Told Chelsea to wrap up summer deal
In an attempt to depart the club, Antonio Conte did not start Victor Osimhen, a transfer target for Chelsea, in Napoli’s preseason friendly loss against Genoa.
Osimhen is a player that CHELSEA has been linked to for the past few transfer windows; if they are willing to pay the proper price, they have a good chance of eventually closing a deal this summer.
Chelsea is expected to complete a trade deal with Napoli because the striker has stated he wants to leave and play in the Premier League. Napoli are willing to move Osimhen.
But most teams have refrained from pursuing the striker due to his £111 million asking price, which has fueled numerous rumors that a move to PSG is also on the agenda for the big man.
But with Chelsea reportedly back in the hunt for the big man – Conte sent a big message to Osimhen after he was left out of his starting lineup for Napoli’s pre-season friendly loss to Genoa
Osimhen, meanwhile, continues to train with Napoli but has not featured in any of their preparation games this summer as the club continue to negotiate his exit.
The former Chelsea and Spurs boss has previously hinted the club have agreed to let the striker leave for the right price.
“I know that there are agreements with the club, it’s a totally different situation, which I’ll witness,” said Conte. “Then if you ask me about the player, he’s a top player, but I can’t get into any discussions about Osimhen because these are previous agreements.
