Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is not going anywhere, he has told Sky Sport Italia.
The Italy international was the only player who followed Maurizio Sarri from Napoli to London. The player has always been perceived as key to the ‘Sarri-ball’ and has the manager’s unconditional trust.
Jorginho even saw off Cesc Fabregas who had to move to Monaco because, as he put it, “a new coach came with a player that for him was like his son.”
But in the light of reports linking Sarri to several clubs back in Italy, some might wonder whether Jorginho will fit the system of a new coach or prefer to leave as well.
For those who would not want that to happen, Jorginho has words of reassurance.
“I have four years left on my contract,” he said implying that he has no plans to go away.
“I see this as a very positive campaign. It’s only natural that at a club like Chelsea, there is going to be all this pressure. There will always be criticism, but I remained calm and relaxed.
“I’ll always have something new to learn and I’ve seen consistent growth throughout the season.”
